LED TVs: The Future Of Flat Panel Televisions

If you are have already decided that you are gonna get with the times and get a TV wall mount instead of a TV stand then good for you. I at least commend you for that. If you are one of the few brave ones that is willing to move forward and be a trend setter and get a TV lift cabinet then I give you major props. TV lift cabinets are a thing of the future but for you the future can be now when you get one of these beautiful pieces of furniture.

If you are neither of thee above then I recommend you stop reading now because this post will be of little interest to you. If you recently purchased a new LCD TV then this will probably not interest you either.

If you have been a trend setter in the past or want to be one then I suggest you keep reading. Today's post is about a brand new technological advance brought to us my Samsung, the world wide leader in television innovations.

LED televisions are what we are going to be talking about today (not to be confused with LCD TVs). LED TVs are the newest most technologically advanced televisions in the world right now.

You see, old TVs (and new ones before LED TVs) use tubes or bulbs to give off white light and then it is filtered into primary colors and remixed. LED TVs on the other hand have replaced these bulbs with lasers and light-emitting diodes. The end result of this new technology means that you and me get a a TV that comes with better colors (in scientific terms you would say that the palette of hues can be created in a wider range). Another result of this technology is that the laser and diodes come out of the sides of the TV thus allowing manufacturers to make a significantly thinner TV. And we are talking really thin, like the size of a laptop computer screen.
LED TVs are also significantly more energy efficient due to the difference in lighting technology. Another great thing about LED TVs is that they do not have to have their bulbs replaced (at a cost of $300) every 2-3 years.

If you want to get the latest and greatest technological advances in television I suggest you check out the new LED TVs from Samsung. Currently they are a bit expensive but the price should drop over the next 12-18 months and at that point it is believed that they will begin to be even cheaper and LCD and plasma screen TVs.
